Christina Aguilera: Pirate Fancy Dress, Career and Future Plans

It is no doubt that Christina Aguilera is a pop sensation and has an incredible power house voice, but why is she sporting a pirate fancy dress costume in recent pictures? It’s not for a new music video, although am sure it would be a hit if she did, but for Halloween! Marron 5’s Adam Levine hosted a halloween party sponsored by Bacardi with model girlfriend Anne V and invited his fellow co-star and good friend of The Voice Christina Aguilera to join in the fun. Christina Aguilera choose a sexy pirate costume which included a huge pirate hat, a gold and black corset top, short black skirt with gold belt, black tights, knee high black boots, and a lot of jewellery to complete the ooo-ahhh look. It’s not the first time Christina Aguilera has gone all out for Halloween, every year she dresses up and goes all out on her costumes whether it be a dead zombie bride, a skeleton, a hula girl, or a Victorian sexy lady. It doesnt always have to be halloween either she is renowned for her extravagant outfits and costumes in her music videos as well with the leather chaps from Dirty, a moth eaten dress from the song Fighter, Burlesque outfits from her hit movie Burlesque staring Cher, and sexy sailor outfits for the soul and jazz album Back To Basics.

Christina’s career started very early on at the age of 13 when she got the part on one of Disney’s most popular shows The Mickey Mouse Club also famously starring Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake and Ryan Gosling. From here her amazing voice range got her the gig of singing Reflection for the movie Mulan in 1998. Not many people could hit the high notes of the song that were required but Christina’s name was put forward and of course nailed it which landed her a recording contract with RCA Records. Her first album got her 3 number 1 hits. Wanting more control over the content of her songs and music and obviously having some things to say Christina left the record deal and created her 4th album Stripped focusing on her childhood some of her life’s lessons. It paid off too as it is still one of the most listened to albums of 2002/3, 4x platinum, got her 2 number one singles, and a number of grammys. Her next album did just aswell Back to Basics which was soul and jazz-blues inspired and got to number 1 on the USA album chart list.

Christina is now featured on the hit TV talent show The Voice alongside Adam Levine, Cee Lo Green, and Blake Sheldon. The music show with a twist, the contestants are picked purely on their voice, the judges have their back to them and so it has nothing to do with the way they look, if the judge likes what they hear they hit a button which turns their chair around so they can see what they look like. If more than one judge hits the button the contestant then gets to choose which team they want to to go on. The shows has become an instant hit for NBC and has been picked up for its second season airing in February, Christina will be returning for another season.
