6 Stripper-Free Stag Do Ideas

Not every stag party needs to involve strippers. If that’s just not your style, or if you haven’t been given permission to involve them, don’t worry! You can still have a very memorable and fun-filled last day of being single with your best buddies.

If you’re the best man and you’re trying to plan a stag for a “doomed groom” who wants a fun time anyway, there are lots of options. Here are a few stripper-free stag do ideas.

Hold a LAN party!
If the new “ball and chain” won’t appreciate your groom playing games 24/7 after the wedding, now is a great time to get some multiplayer gaming in. Halo, Magic the Gathering, or just about any first-person shooter in the groom’s collection are all fine choices. You can even have an all-night game of Civilization if you want to see who’s really man enough to rule the world.

Play or watch sports
Soccer, baseball, basketball, volleyball, and golf are just a few of your options for organized sports that work well at a bachelor party. Or, if the groom isn’t big on playing sports, how about watching them? Try to coordinate the party with a big game and plan a tailgating party, pub crawl, or attend a game live to boost the mood. Just be prepared for a morose groom if his team loses.

Casino and poker night
Whether you’re up for a casino visit or would rather play poker in one of the guys’ kitchens, a gambling night is a great option for a bachelor party. Instead of giving the bachelor a gift, each of you can chip in a little money and give him a guilt-free gambling fund for the night. Arrange dinner beforehand or afterwards, and make sure you all agree that if someone wins big, he pays! A more unusual option is a horse race or car race that allows gambling, too.

Settle for a steak dinner
Everyone likes a good steak, and if bars are off-limits, steakhouses will have to do. You can have a fantastic time at a really great steakhouse, pig out with your buddies, and share stories of the groom’s drunken college days. If you want, you can follow this up with any other stag do idea from the list, too.

Play paintball
This is an outdoor sport of its own, as you can build an entire bachelor party around it. Airsoft games are another popular idea. Remember, paintballs can bruise, so if your groom wants to be unblemished for his wedding night, go easy on him – or the other way around so he can show off! Bring a picnic or go out for drinks afterwards to celebrate.

Brave the great outdoors
If the groom doesn’t want a traditional bachelor party in the city, make one out in the country instead! You can go camping with your buddies and try so many cool activities while you’re there – hiking, climbing, white-water rafting, skiing, fishing, or bungee jumping, for starters. If you’re less adventurous, fun around the campfire will still be had by all. In the winter, you can rent a cabin to stay warm and try winter sports like skiing or snowboarding.

These are just a few options for stripper-free stags that are every bit as fun and memorable. You don’t have to sacrifice fun times to keep your groom’s almost-in-laws happy!
